Since tomorrow marks our one-year anniversary, I thought it would be fun to share my wedding rehearsal dinner outfit again! I always get so many questions about this piece, and to this day, it’s still one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever worn. If you’re looking for more wedding content, I’ve shared other details, like my bachelorette party, wedding shoes, and invitations.
Why I Chose a Jumpsuit
As you may know, my style is a mix of classic and edgy, and I knew early on that my wedding would reflect that. I remember the exact moment I knew I wanted a jumpsuit for the rehearsal dinner. Once Will and I set a date, I began searching for the perfect bridal jumpsuit. That’s when I stumbled upon the Rime Arodaky Patsy jumpsuit on Instagram—and I was instantly in love.
I contacted the boutique, and luckily they had two sizes in stock to try on. One of my bridesmaids, Liz, was in town, so we went to try it on—and I was sold immediately.
Sizing & Alterations
The Patsy jumpsuit runs in French sizing, so measuring carefully is key. I ended up ordering one size up (FR38 / US 4-6) to allow room for alterations. At 5’10”, I wanted the cropped pant length as long as possible without losing the design’s integrity. The sleeves were also tight, so sizing up made a huge difference.
I took the jumpsuit to Nordstrom for alterations—a trusted option for me. The alterations cost around $70 with a rush (under 7 days), and the jumpsuit fit perfectly.
Where to Buy
I purchased the Patsy jumpsuit through Net-a-Porter, mainly because they had every size in stock. This was a huge help with timing—I could return or exchange quickly if needed. The boutique I initially contacted had a longer shipping window, and I didn’t want to risk waiting too close to the wedding.
Review
The Rime Arodaky Patsy jumpsuit is elegant, modern, and a total showstopper. I paired it with my Christian Louboutin nude pumps and cubic zirconia studs, and the compliments were endless. The lace train gave it just the right amount of drama, while the clean silhouette kept it contemporary.
I loved this jumpsuit so much that I took it on our honeymoon just to wear it again! Since it’s an investment piece, I decided to wear it once more for our one-year anniversary, which felt like the perfect way to celebrate.
